Denis Monnoyeur becomes president of BM Location

Denis Monnoyeur has been named president and general manager of Bergerat Monnoyeur Location (BM Location), the French rental business of Caterpillar dealer Bergerat Monnoyeur.

He replaces Thierry Robert, who has left BM Location to become general manager of Eneria, Groupe Monnoyeur's engine and power sales business.

Mr Monnoyeur is a member of the family that owns Groupe Monnoyeur and one of its executive committee members, where he holds the title chief executive officer for business to business distribution. He is an experienced rental manager, being president also of Monnoyeur's €176 million industrial forklift rental business, Aprolis. He will now run both Aprolis and BM Location.

Mr Robert, who oversaw a period of acquisitions and expansion at BM Location which saw it report total revenues of €108 million in 2009 and become one of the largest renters in France, will now be in charge of a bigger Monnoyeur business, responsible for the sale and service of Caterpillar engines and generators sets in France , Poland, Romania, Belgium and Algeria.

Groupe Monnoyeur is Caterpillar dealer in France , Poland, Romania, Belgium and Algeria. In 2009 it had total revenues of €1.31 billion (down from €1.93 billion in 2008). Sales of Caterpillar construction equipment represented around half of all sales, with Eneria being the second largest business with sales of €268 million in 2009.
