2Rent owner gets more independence within Stork BV
07 January 2013
Netherlands industrial group Stork BV has created two separate management structures for its Stork Technical Services (STS) and Fokker Technologies businesses, allowing them operate as distinct businesses.
Stork Technical Services is the industrial services group that owns 2Rent, an equipment rental business that operates around 25 depots in the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
STS and Fokker now have their own supervisory boards.
Sjoerd Vollebregt, CEO of Fokker Technologies and Stork BV, said the structure was a logical step following the establishment last August of separate capital structures for the two businesses.
“Stork Technical Services can now operate fully independently under the continued leadership of Doug Meikle as CEO and its Supervisory Board now chaired by Henk Rottinghuis”, said Mr Vollebregt.
“The new governance is a key milestone in the establishment of both Fokker and Stork Technical Services as independent entities that are set to follow their own growth paths.”
Stork Technical Services provides equipment maintenance and repair services globally to the oil and gas, power and chemical sectors. 2Rent rents power, air, lighting, aerial platforms, site huts, scaffolding and other equipment mainly to industrial markets.
