New CEO for Himoinsa power rentals division
01 July 2025

Nicolás Loewe has been appointed CEO of Himoinsa Energy Services’ (HES), the division of the genset manufacturer that provides equipment rental and energy services for large-scale projects.
Loewe is an experienced power rentals manager, having worked in the past for Aggreko, Cat Rental Power and Atlas Copco Rental. His first day at HES is on 1 July.
HES supplies multi-megawatt power to industrial customers worldwide, but particularly in the southern hemisphere. Its customers are in sectors including mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, utilities and public services.
Himoinsa said the appointment represented a new phase in the development of HES and reinforced its commitment to growth by offering mobile power to sectors in emerging markets where decentralised power systems are increasingly in demand. The company plans to expand its fleet capacity by 35% within the next year.
Loewe said; “We are working on imminent additions in strategic markets and strengthening a global sales structure that already includes key individuals such as Steve Chapman, the commercial director for EMEA. Steve has been involved in numerous important projects since the beginning of HES”.
In addition to its projects with clients, said Himoinsa, HES acts as “facilitator of the rental business within the Himoinsa ecosystem, supporting subsidiaries, distributors and rental companies with which it already works, and opening up opportunities for them in projects where their fleets do not meet the technical requirements, whether in terms of power or available units.”
