Al Shola, the UAE-based equipment rental business, has partnered with Japan-based Daikin to rent Daikin’s temporary cooling products across the Gulf region, particularly the UAE.

Daikin said the partnership reflected rising regional demand for fast, efficient, and scalable cooling systems, which is being driven by large-scale infrastructure projects, increasing energy needs, and the frequency of public events in high-temperature environments.

Vinayakumar Nair, general manager at Al Shola, said the companies would work together to provide reliable, energy-efficient cooling options for both short- and long-term rental needs, supporting sectors including construction, healthcare and energy.

Mohanad Al Mashaikh, head of solutions at Daikin UAE, added; “This partnership brings together two industry leaders with complementary strengths. Daikin’s commitment to sustainable innovation, paired with Al Shola’s local expertise and service reach, will enable us to deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

The initiative is also part of Daikin’s broader strategy to expand its presence in the rental solutions segment, particularly in fast-growing and climate-challenged markets such as the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Al Shola rents power, heavy equipment, vehicles, machinery, and temporary cooling services in the Gulf region. It has been operating for more than 49 years, and is active in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
