Haulotte has presented an all terrain scissor lift, equipped with a prototype of the hydrogen fuel cell it has developed through its partnership with engineering specialist Bouygues Energies & Services, announced in June last year.

The HS 18 E Pro scissor lift, from the manufacturer’s green energy Pulseo range, was on show at the Hyvolution trade fair, held at Porte de Versailles in Paris, 1-2 February.

Stéphane Hubert, CSO of Haulotte Group, said, “Exhibiting a Haulotte aerial work platform at a trade fair dedicated to hydrogen was an opportunity that had to be seized.

“The Bouygues Energies & Services teams gave us a great opportunity to showcase our prototype. We are delighted with this partnership, which will enable us to continue the deployment of the Pulseo range, which is progressively renewing all internal combustion engine models with electric architectures.”

Over the course of this year, Bouygues Energies & Services will be testing a fuel cell-equipped aerial platform in real-life conditions on works sites. The tests begin this month and the results will be shared in the coming months.

The Pulseo range is also available with an interchangeable combustion engine-powered range extender as an option.

Caroline Mazzoleni, head of the Smart Energy Division at Bouygues Energies & Services, added, “This collaboration aims to broaden the range of low-carbon equipment on offer and thus accelerate the decarbonization of construction sites.”
