Ritchie Bros. hails “outstanding” end of year auctions

Auctioneering specialist Ritchie Bros. UK has announced what it describes as “outstanding results” from its November auctions.

The company started the month with its Maltby Online Auction on 6 and 7 November, which featured a variety of heavy machinery, including telehandlers, dumpers, excavators and more.

The auction successfully sold 1,181 lots and attracted 330 buyers from 32 countries around the world, Ritchie Bros. said, with the 1,270 people that registered to bid increasing by 8% compared to the same period in 2023.

Elsewhere, the company also held the previously announced online Plantforce Fleet Renewal Auction on 20 November, with Plantforce selling off machines as part of a fleet renewal plan.

Among the inventory at the auction, which saw 160 units sold, was wheel loaders, excavators, rollers and screening equipment.

This includes a Kobelco hydraulic excavator, Hydrema articulated dump truck, Komatsu crawler dozer and a Hyundai wheel loader.

Ritchie Bros. UK is also hosting an auction on the 11 and 12 December. The company said the Maltby auction “provides buyers the chance to get ready for their 2025 projects in time and for sellers to sell their machinery before the year ends.”
