Palfinger opens service hub in Lisbon

Palfinger is strengthening its operations in Portugal with a new hub bringing key functions together at one location.

The new Sales & Service Hub in Lisbon follows a similar new site in Madrid, opend a month ago. Over the past decade, the company has developed its presence in Spain and Portugal, and the two new hubs strengthen its service provision and customer proximity across the region.

“Palfinger combines global expertise with strong local market knowledge. The new Sales & Service Hub in Lisbon brings these strengths together and further integrates our Portuguese operations into the wider Palfinger network. This allows us to leverage our capabilities across markets while staying close to our customers and turning our Strategy 2030+ into action,” said Norbert Karrer, VP sales & service EMEA distribution.

Proximity in Portugal

The Lisbon hub brings sales, service, logistics, workshop operations and mounting together at one location. A key part of the investment is the expansion from five to eight mounting boxes, which raises mounting capacity by 60%. In addition, service capacity increases by 40%. The new facility also incorporates energy-efficient technologies that help optimise energy consumption and reduce its environmental footprint.

“The new hub provides our teams with modern facilities, expanded mounting and service capabilities, and an improved operational environment. This enables us to work more efficiently, respond faster to customer needs and strengthen collaboration with our customers and partners. Above all, it gives us a solid foundation for Palfinger’s future growth in Portugal,” said Jörg Schopferer, managing director of Palfinger Ibérica.
