Mawsley takes Manitou and Bomag to London

Northamptonshire-based construction equipment dealer Mawsley Machinery is expanding its territory, taking brands such as Manitou and Bomag into north London.

Mawsley has expanded its footprint to now include Hertfordshire, Essex and Greater London north of the river with plans to open a depot in north London that can connect to the M1 and M25. According to George Laverick, sales manager of Mawsley, the new depot will stock spares for collection and provide workshop facilities.

Mawsley have been operating in the London area for some time with Socomec breakers and demolition equipment, Ausa dumpers and Yanmar mini-diggers. A further area manager, Sam Sanderson has been recruited to make sure that existing and new customers have a dedicated contact for Manitou, Bomag, Socomec, Ausa and Yanmar products.

“The Bomag range is the well known market leader for vibratory rollers, plates and rammers. Similarly, Manitou is recognised as a market leader in telehandlers, forklifts and access equipment", said Mr Laverick.

"However, Manitou’s acquisition of Gehl is perhaps not so widely known and the Gehl skid steer loader is an ideal machine for the London market”.
