Engcon and Hitachi agree tiltrotator deal

Engcon said the mutually non-exclusive agreement is another step to make the tiltrotator concept and system known in Europe and is “further proof that the tiltrotator plays a greater role in enhancing efficiency on site.”

It said that the deal is one of many ongoing projects for it to increase the tiltrotator penetration level in Europe and makes it one of the preferred suppliers to HCME and its dealer network.

Krister Blomgren, CEO, Engcon, said: “This gives Engcon an opportunity to expand to markets in Europe where we are not currently represented.

“We look forward to the collaboration that will benefit both parties and our customers in the long term.”

In other news, the company has said that strong demand and high delivery volumes has resulted in strong second quarter results.

Order intake for the Sweden-based firm increased by 4% to SEK 451 million (€41 million), while net sales increased by 18% to SEK 530 million (€48 million).

Blomgren said, “Looking forward, we anticipate continued growth compared with the preceding year as a result of the recovery in the Nordic region and increased market penetration in Europe and Asia-Oceania.”
