United Rentals has named Minnesota-headquartered utility vehicle (UTV) manufacturer Polaris Commercial as its Supplier of the Year for 2024.

United said the company was given the award due to its team’s “dedication and attention to vehicle performance, delivery, parts and service support, as well as their collaboration across all aspects of procurement, warranty and service.”

Polaris Commercial supplies United Rentals with a range of its UTVs. United currently operates a fleet of over 500 Polaris vehicles, including one of its newest launches, the Pro XD.

Polaris said the partnership enables United Rentals locations across the US to provide customers with the Pro XD UTV, a vehicle designed for durability and ease of operation.

It said the Pro XD is built with safety features and a focus on serviceability, supporting worksite productivity and adapting to varying conditions.

TJ Mahoney, vice president of Supply Chain, United Rentals, said, “United Rental’s success – and the success of our customers – is a testament to our incredible suppliers. Thank you for your commitment to constant innovation and providing vehicles that enhance efficiency and durability for our customers. Congratulations on being named Supplier of the Year – it is well-deserved!”

Aaron Stegemann, vice president and general manager, Commercial Utility Vehicles, Polaris, added, “At Polaris, we take pride in engineering vehicles built for the rigors of the job site.

“We are relentless when it comes to taking care of our customers, innovating our product line up and driving efficiency to maximise value – and we are honored to be recognised by United Rentals for this commitment.”

As well as being named Supplier of the Year by United Rentals, the company has twice been awarded honourary supplier of the year.
