Caterpillar enjoyed a leading 24.9% share of the European diesel genset market in 2009 according to market research body Frost & Sullivan, which has awarded Cat its annual European Market Share Leadership Award in genset category.
Frost & Sullivan said Caterpillar had consolidated its leadership position in a declining market.
H&E Equipment Services reported a 12.4% fall in total revenues to US$153.8 million for the third quarter of 2010. Equipment rental revenues increased 7.0% to $48.3 million, new equipment sales fell 2.1% to $47.7 million and used equipment sales decreased 55.0% to $14.7 million.
