UK-based rental company Eagle Platforms has ordered 30 new telehandlers from Haulotte.

Based in Sheffield in Yorkshire, Eagle’s new HTL units are part of a fleet expansion that will help the company meet rising telehandler demand across Yorkshire and the North and Midlands regions.

Eagle’s equipment order comprised two Haulotte models from its high lift range; the HTL 4014 and HTL 4017.

While both models are equipped with a Stage 3A/Tier III Perkins engine and have a maximum lifting capacity of 4,000kg (4 tonnes), the HTL 4017 offers a maximum fork height of 16.7m and a forward reach of 12.9m.

In comparison, the HTL 4014 offers a maximum fork height of 13.6m and up to 9.8m of forward reach.

Eagle’s new machines also feature a 4 in 1 joystick, hydrostatic transmission with flow sharing system and include Haulotte’s Load Moment Indicator. This provides real time information about the equipment’s longitudinal stability conditions.

Both models also include the manufacturer’s rear locking axle system that prevents the telehandler from tipping over and front stabilisers for increased stability.

Natalie Reynolds, general manager at Haulotte UK, said, “We are pleased to have such a good success on our HTL range: their high-quality reputation precedes them in the construction industry.”
