UK-based Domis Construction, part of the Domis Property Group, has become one of the first companies to receive JCB’s new 525-60E electric loadall telehandler.

The company chose the 525-60E model for its zero-emissions rating, which allows the machine to be operated both inside and outside buildings.

Lee McCarren, Domis Construction managing director, said, ”We are striving to change the face of construction with modernisation, innovation and technological advances at the forefront. As soon as we saw the significant benefits this electric JCB machine could bring to our operations we wanted to secure the first in the region.

McCarren added, “In the type of high-rise, city centre buildings we typically develop there is significant work underground in basements and in car parks. Traditionally we would need to fit expensive carbon filters onto our machines in order to operate safely in those areas. Now we have a high performance, low emissions and ultra-quiet machine that is perfect for our inner-city operations.”

The 525-60E has the same external dimensions as its diesel counterpart and has been designed to deliver the same performance levels. With a maximum lifting capacity of 2,500 kg, the model can lift up to 2,00 kg at its full 6 m lift height. It also offers 3.7 m outside turn radius and produces low noise levels, making it suitable for work on urban projects.
